    AppStore is near...

So Jailbreakers, the clock is ticking. As of today there is less than a month until Apple unveils it's new 2.0 firmware for the iPod touch, and in the process releases Appstore with it...

So on June Ninth, which of you will upgrade to 2.0 and get appstore? Do you think that applications by companies that you have to pay for are better than applications made by people other than companies ( I.E. people who makes Apps for installer etc.)?

    You Decide!

Feel free to share all your thoughts in this thread...

Update: Less than 11 days until the 2.0 Firmware is released!

    Update-2: 7 days until the release! 6/2/08

Probably both. Nullriver Soft might make an Installer for 2.0. There might be less Applications, but that's what I'm going for.

I prefer AppStore because there will be better quality Apps since they actually have the perfect tools for the Device.

Finally. No more Crashing + Maintenance etc.

i will definitely stay with the jailbreak

the applications made by the jailbreaking community have been awesome and just because some companies will make better, glitchfree versions i would never pay for applications that are made just as well by nice people that don't care about profits or mercantalism.

so i will continue supporting the jailbreak community and i will not support apple and their "official" applications

No offense, but the people who make these jailbroken applications for us aren't average. Yeah, they don't work for these companies, but they can program well, they do it for us anyway, and they do it for free. Plus, some of the jailbroken apps are really getting better quality-wise.

I, personally, will not buy from the appstore because they won't be selling any emulators.

EDIT: I also know that anything available in the appstore will eventually become free through future hacks.

Thank you, for your excessive use of sarcasm! I hope you enjoy that fact that I cant find it amusing!

Yeah, I don't mean Average as normal, I just mean average, like average people making amazing apps!

Who says it's June 9th? Or are you speculating because of WWDC? The date is not official, so don't come to conclusions.

I am speculating because of the WWDC. I am not jumping to conclusions about it, but I do think that they MIGHT release/unveil 2.0 at the WWDC. I may be wrong though.

Lots of people are speculating and it could be true. WWDC is a major Apple event. Most are speculating the 3G iPhone. And what do you need to use 3G on the iPhone? Firmware. Which firmware has it? 2.0.
