Question on the little dock that comes with the iPod

    What I'm referring to is the little white piece on the bottom left:

    I'm kind of confused with it... what does it do? Its called a dock, but its nothing like the past docks Apple has released... I don't think you can put the USB cable on the bottom, since would probably just tip over... but there is a slit on the bottom that looks like it is for the USB cable. Is it supposed to be a stand? I've seen people make their own docks with it (using the case and boxes), but I'm not sure if this is what apple had in mind for it...

    What is it for?

    Its a dock adapter.
    You use it so your ipod fits in any ipod dock.

    Yeah, it's useless for you unless you have the apple universal dock which is $50 at the apple store.
