I have recently purchased an iPod Touch 2nd Generation. When connected to iTunes and looking at the Capacity bar graph it say that there is 6.58 GB of Audio. But when I click on Music it shows 1300 songs at 2.53 GB, 19 Podcasts at 1.07 GB and 1 Audiobooks at 46 MB. I do not have any TV shows or Movies on my Touch. What could be taking up the other 3 GB in Audio if there is only @ 3.60 GB between music and podcasts?

No way 1300 songs are only 2.5 gigs. I have 750 and I'm over 4 Gigs. Probably an iTunes glitch or something.

For those 1300 songs I have changed the bit rate to 64 kbps and it really saves a lot of space without a significant loss of sound quality.

64kbps?! That's Low! I struggle to listen to music at 128kbps without getting annoyed lol. But that's just me

1300 songs is around 6 or 7 gigs in my experience.

Thank you for the responses. It looks like I have podcasts syncing through itunes and through itunes wirelessly on the ipod touch. I have figured out how to delete podcasts on the touch, can anybody tell me how to stop the touch from syncing wirelessly?
