my ipod's battery has died, i have a warranty so apple is sending me a package to send mine back in, they said they would fix or replace it

my ipod is jailbroken, i cant turn it on to restore it to normal

is there no chance of them replacing my touch once they get ahold of it?

You better find a way to restore it. Try every option.

Can't you just plug it in via USB and have it restored?...

You should at least be able to plug it in and receive power that way.

Well what I think he means is that the battery is totally shot so there is no way to do it.

Keep trying to do it because they won't replace it if they find it jailbroken. Plug it in USB, iHome, any kidn of dock really. Wall AC Adapter. Whatever it takes!

Yeah , just try and get it working.
Wouldn't if you plugged it in , it wouldn't need the battery ?
It would get the power from the computer ?

So are you saying that it won't charge but it will work? And can you clarify that question about the dock/plugin please?

while plugged in, wait 5 min, and then just hold power and home for 10 secs, see if it reboots, if not, just try dfu mode
