I am finally considering upgrading to the latest firmware, and I want to know if I will lose data inside my apps.

I have some apps that I got through cydia, one app is probably the only reason I own an ipod and it is very crucial that I dont lose any data in this app when i upgrade.

So here is what I plan to do:
go through SSH and copy all my apps, then paste them back onto iPod after i have rejailbroken. If i do this, will i keep all the data for this app?

    cant talk about cracked apps
  5. uh...upgrading your firmware shouldn't affect your legit apps, but your apps that you got through cydia, including cydia, will be gone. That's why you should back up your info and just restore it once you finish upgrading.
