Ok, well, I have a tethered jailbroken 2.2.1 iPod Touch, and I want to "Untethered" it. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when you untethered jailbreak your iPod touch you can turn it on without a boot(computer).

    1) Do I have to completely restore my jailbroken iPod to Untethered it?(noob question, I know.)
    2) Is there a higher risk to "untethered" it then it was to "tethered"?
    3) Which method is the best/easiest to use?

    Thanks ahead of time.

You can do a NOR firmware and not erase all your stuff.
Untethered is much better and no risk.
Neither is super easy right now if you haven't done this much. Just make sure you do lots of research and ask questions if you have them before you move forward.

I prefer (personally) to back up your iPod, restore, Jailbreak, and then restore your iPod from backup. It's [in the most case,] risk-free and the easiest method.
