I'm buying an unlocked iPhone soon, and I want to ask a few questions.

1] If I mess it up, and I need to restore, do I need to re-activate it after the restore? Would I need the original SIM card, cuz the unlock app would be un-installed?

    2] Erm, that's about it

I've never heard of having to re-activate after an iPhone restore...
I think it's really registered to your SIM card, and not your device's own internal memory.

If I had an iPhone, I'd be afraid to mess it up. A lot of people have bricked their iPhones but not iTouches................................

if you restore just jailbreak the device again and it will bypass the activation phase. i've never bricked an iphone ever and i've unlocked at least 20 of them
