ok so i am porbabaly goignt o be getting a touch tomarrow, im not sure what gen it is but it does look like it has titanium sideplates or something similar. is this the 2nd gen one?

also about the warranty if you buy a touch used and it break can you still send it in to apple?

and can you upgrade your touch? say if you have a 1st gen touch can you send it into apple pay extra and then upgrade it to a 2nd gen?

    thanks

The second gen has buttons on the side and is kind of rounded. Easiest way to tell the Difference.

No , you cannot send it in and upgrade it.

Well the first one looks a little dull around the edges of the screen and its not silver and i dont see any buttons. Although it says its a second gen, it looks like a picture of a first gen.

The second picture however. The edges look shiny and you can see the buttons on the top left.

Basic differences between the first and second gen:
    - 2nd gen has speakers, 1st does not
    - 2nd gen is silver around front edges, 1st gen is more "blackish"
    - 2nd gen has buttons to control volume, 1st gen does not.
    - 2nd gen is thinner on the back and rounded, 1st gen is flat and thicker.

No, both are fully capable. But however i think you would just have to use a different program. Not 100% about that though. But i am 100% that they are both fully capable and REALLY easy to jailbreak.

IMO.. get a 2g and spend a little bit more. Its worth it
