    I have an ipod touch 2g semi thethered & its f*cked ..
it completely will not turn on & I have looked everywhere & haven't got anywhere to even getting a reaction or a light from it
    - dfu doesnt work anymore.

so im sending it back to apple (its under warranty) for them to fix it ..
just wondering if you think they'll be able to see that it was semi thethered before they take it?

i was thinking if it was to accidentally fall in water too would that just seal the deal or would that just mess things up?

if it doesnt turn on then probably they wont know. dont drop it in the water, that would mess things up.

That would mess things up. Water damage is not covered under warranty.

Keep trying to get in in DFU, there seems to always be a way.

But I know in your case, youve been probably trying for hours.

If you yourself, personally, cannot get it in DFU, then I dont think Apple will know its semi-tethered. So send it in, and if they send it back, your flat out of luck, but what are they gonna do? call the police!

The worst that theyll do is not fix it...

just something happened to it when i was on facebook & i couldnt leave the application. the screen was just blinking white so i turned it off and then i couldnt turn it back on.

I am used to putting it into DFU mode, i've done it hundreds of times. searched through google trying to fix it & this site. Asked questions but nothings working & anyone who's had the same problem hasn't got an answer.

Thanks for the info on the water damage btw
