I have a 4G that I purchased on Friday. The iPod tends to freeze after about 30 min or so of continuous use. It has frozen up on me several times now since Friday. Since I am still under 14 days of purchase what do you think my chances are of just swapping this out for a new one. I have everything that came with it still including the packaging.

My only worry is when I take it into the Apple store, it may be hard for me to replicate the problem since it does not happen instantly.

Do you think they will just swap it out for a new one?

100% They have to swap it, since its under warranty. Go to the Genius Bar.

    They'll swap it out.

But tell me, does it get hot and then freeze up?

Do you have the light leak problem? Cause that's the only problem I have with my 4G right now, I'm thinking about replacing it too.

It does not get too hot, but it just freezes up after playing for a period of time. its happened at least 5 times since Friday. I even restored it once and still getting the same issue. I am sure I just got a bad one, but its frustrating because I doubt I will be able to get back to the Apple store until this coming Friday. But still under 14 days so I should be good.

Don't you get a complimentary 1 year warranty?? What is this 14 day policy?

You get a 1 year warranty against defects but you have only 14 days from original date of purchase to return it.

return doesen't mean replace. Within the 1 year you can get your iPod replaced if it has a problem (or withing 2 years with apple care.)

From what I know, they won't replace it if it is not serious. And if I am not wrong we would have to pay and during the 14 days, we don't need to pay.
