This has happened for ages now and it's been driving me insane..

Why is it that whenever I draw a shape, it's not how it USED to be drawn?!!

Instead now, I get a black line around the outside and a Vector Mask on the Layers panel...

    Here's a pic:

Any ideas anyone please on how to change it back?

in the top right of your screen youll see 3 squares - clock the very right hand one and anything you draw will be filled in correctly - hover over the squares to see what each does.

and it shows a vector panel because it draws the shapes as vectors (meaning you can transform them without pixelation) right click the layer NAMe and hit rasterize type to make it a normal layer (with pixely transforms like all the other ones)
