Ok, so you know how you can save your iPod touch's battery life by holding the home button for six seconds which totally prevents the app from working in the background (only for Apples apps eg. safari, mail, stocks, which are allowed to do so). I know how to do this but this is my question. I hid some of my icons like stocks, clock, weather using bossprefs and i dont want to bring them back to do this killing thing everytime. DO THOSE APPS "STARTUP" EVERYTIME I BOOT MY IPOD, OR DO I ONLY NEED TO "KILL" THEM IF I OPEN THEM?

    Thanks so much!

So weather, stocks, and all the other Apple apps would be like safari, only if you open them first? They wouldn't boot when you started your ipod right?

Uhh...just the usual, dont keep your brightness higher than you need to, turn off wifi when you're not gonna use it for a while, and i guess thats it..and you prolly know already, but using apps/games kills battery....and vWallpaper..
I think thats all I have lol

studangerous has a thread somewhere about battery.

Anyways, MobileSafari.app, MobileMail.app, and MobileMusicPlayer.app are the usual native "hogs" of memory. Kill those, and you should be okay.
