question about jailbraking

    I bougth an Ipod Touch First Generation and updated to the version 2.1 and now i would like to jailbrake it so i could install applications. can i jailbrake it or i have to downgrade it so i could jailbrake it i really need help in this

    There's a lot of threads about this topic already: search 'jailbreaking 2.1'. You can install Applications from the App Store without jailbreaking, and if it has 2.1 you can use QuickPWN to jailbreak. Get QuickPWN from blog.iphone-dev.org.

    Oh, and I do suggest searching - it may save you from getting flamed by the next poster.

    But seriously, there's an entire section abut jailbreaking (NOT JailBRAKEing) 2.1. Go to http://blog.iphone-dev.org, and download QuickPwn for Windows, and then follow a guide from the 2.1 Jailbreak section.
