Ok, well, when I open iTunes it says "iTunes could not be connect to the iPhone ** because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)" and it doesn't detect my iPod Touch at all on the side. Now before anyone calls me a noob. I think I know what I'm doing with the whole jailbreaking process. I already have an untethered iPod Touch, and its worked perfectly on iTunes till a couple of minutes ago.

Anyway, can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

P.S: Yes, my iPod is on, and its working.

That sounds like a usb error. Id try the whole moving around / trying other usb ports method.

My son's ipod touch is doing the same thing - Error 0xE8000065. I have already tried plugging it in the other USB ports on my computer, but itunes still doesn't know I'm connected. Is it possible for all of my USB ports to be the problem? I have an HP Scanner hooked up to one port and it works fine, but when I unplug it and use that same port (on the back of my PC) for the ipod, it doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be so grateful.

Try a different machine. Your entire USB bus may be having issues. Issues doesn't mean bad, just means could be slow or bad drivers or what not.

Or you could just get a Mac and not have any problems ever. Sm

    Thanks

I think you are right, Iceberg. I will see if I can find out how to fix the drivers. ( PS...I am really thinking it is time to chunk this Gateway for a Mac.)
