So, i'm looking at getting a set of Skullcandy INK'D headphones, and i saw the paul frank julius skurvvy ones, that have a TPE cable type. What exactly is it? From what i can gather, and what the picture looks like, it is like fabric covered of something... is it?

    Thanks

Skullcandies have crummy build and sound quality.

Do you have a sound preference, price preference, brand preference? Over ear/In ear?

Personally, I hate how Ink'ds sound and look. But alright, if you like them, that's cool.
I can't say all skullcandies are crap, as I really loved my Titans, although I'm more of a juniour audiophile.

There's a general rule in the audiophile community.
When in doubt, get JVC Marshmallows. Best cheap headphones you can get your paws on.

Ehh MeElec is really rising through the ranks for me. It's a little known company, but great customer service, amazing headphones. Just got my 1st pair from them after loads of research, and while not up to par with the >150 full sized, it's a solid, SOLID choice.

I have Sony mdr-ex76. They actually got better over time. It was weird. They're pretty durable too, my koss ones broke in a few months, I had these for about a year.
