My ex put a passcode on my ipod and her laptop is the one that was originally synced with it (if ur wondering why, its because i have 2 ipod so i let her use my jailed 2nd gen one)

so she put a passcode on it before i got it back from her after our fight

ive tried numerous passcodes and stuff and now its disabled

what i want to know is:

if i hadn't tried pass codes would i have still been able to connect it to my pc and view the files in it using prgrams like t-pot

or regardless of disabled or not, would the passcode still have stopped me from getting into the ipod using other programs or is it just the disabled feature that does it?

this has been boggling my mind for some time... I want to know if i screwed up my chances.

You have 2 iPods. You let her use one. Yet both are synced with her laptop.

    Yeahhhh...

Restore it, ya silly. And stop (possibly) stealing iPods.

Why start another thread? Are those items that important to you? If they indeed are, just file a small claims case against her, have her served a subpoena to appear in court and provide the password. If she provides it great, if not, too bad dude. Get on with life.

There is no other way to get past it unless you break the crypto.

listen, the 1st gen is the one im using because i need the jailbroken features, so i bought a second gen and let her use it, sort of like a gift, the first gen is synced to my pc the second one is synced to hers.

my contacts and photos of her and i and family and w.e are on the second gen one that she was using, but i took it back after we fought and now its disabled because my retard friends kept putting passcodes in.

jailbreak is last resort, if that fails i restore then get on with life. Until then il fail knowing i tried or win by chance if i come across something, i dont give up easily.

i dont want to go that far, shes trying to be my "friend" now, but i asked her for the pass and she said she doesnt have the laptop and how she threw out the case because the dude at futureshop told her to
