Well, I think I booted into DFU mode successfully, but one problem; the device disconnected like it was supposed to, and then the plain black screen came on (DFU), but then, Windows popped up with an error "Could not install DFU recovery driver..."

So, where could I get this DFU driver? Or, is it simply a false alarm and it'll still work?

I will not assume I DO need the driver. Just tried to upload the iBSS, and it said iPod not found...any idea where I could get this driver?

    Windows 7, actually.

Had iTunes running when I booted into DFU and everything (Was jamming to Free Bird, actually!).

Is there any way to get OUT of DFU mode without it being recognized, so I can attempt again?

Alrighty, I got out of DFU mode by force rebooting, and then I attempted to get into it again, and the driver still couldn't be found.

iTunes is open, I have Libusb, everything's peachy, but my computer just doesn't want to recognize my iPod Touch in DFU mode.

Similar problem here in Vista with irecovery.

Get into DFU no problem (itunes comes up with restore info box, the ipod screen stays black) but when sending the ibss I still get the "Got USB, No iphone/ipod found."
