    So, correct me if i am wrong. But my memory tells me that at least in 3.x the add to homescreen function of safari added a icon for the website that opened as if it were an app with no back or forward buttons or address bar like in safari, correct??

    Wondering because i tried to add youtubes new webbapp to the homescreen but the icon just opens up youtube in safari and youtube again tell me that i can install it by pressing the + and select add to homescreen.

    Both me second gen iPod touch and iPhone 4 does this, both on 4.x

    Thats only true if the Fullscreen feature is enabled. It is controlled in a .plist in the WebClips folder.

    No, it's still enabled. Just not every webclip uses it. Veoh for example, is one that does use it.

    If you want you can edit it and make it fullscreen.

    So it's something that you can change for every individual webclip then?

    Yes.

    They are in:
    /var/mobile/Library/WebClips/

    The file you want to edit is Info.plist

    Change

    Code:
    <key>FullScreen</key>
    <false/>

    to

    Code:
    <key>FullScreen</key>
    <true/>

    YouTube doesn't have the meta code that enables it in their source.
