    My problem is my jailbreak!

All i want to know is that a bootrom jailbreak has been found now and its in works, can we all not just update and when the jailbreak is out we can jailbreak then?

In what way do we have to wait for the dev team and then when they tell us its safe then we upgrade (like we would normally do) and then jailbreak.

My question: Can i just upgrade to 4.1 and then not worry as jailbreak is bootrom (hardware) so i can jailbreak on anything...?

You can always upgrade. It's just a matter of whether you want to keep your jailbreak and/or unlock.

If the 4.1 JB is a done via bootrom... is this more perminant and riskier than the userland JB of using jailbreakme?

No. In fact, it's much more stable since it works from the hardware itself, while Star (jailbreakme) was in the actual software. It also allows your iPod/iPhone to be jailbroken no matter what software it is running.
