Okay so i plug in my headphones into my iPhone to listen to some music but when i played a song the right ear was completely out. It's weird because I used them an hour before and had no problems. Now the right ear is completely silent but the remote function still works. I don't abuse my headphones and they're basically brand new. I got them last month. Is this common or some weird technical problem?

Take them back for a refund.

First ensure there plugged in correctly, try un-plugging and plugging back in again. Try changing the volume controls on the iPod screen - try turning it off and on again.
Im unsure whether a restore wouldn't solve it? If its a fault with the iPod volume system itself then yes, but if its the headphones are broken then no.
