    Hello everyone,
I've been away from the iPod scene for a while, but was wondering if Quasi LowJack, or something along the same lines, was available for firmware 2.2.

I remember back in the day, you could configure a jailbroken iPod touch to send it's approximate location, based on Wi-Fi, to a preset Twitter account. This way, if your iPod was ever stolen, it could be found if it was located near a Wi-Fi hotspot. This configuration was done via installing something (I forget the name), and configuring it to your account details through SSH.

I was wondering, does something like Quasi Lowjack exist with newer firmwares such as firmware 2.2? I was recently bragging to people about how I used to have my iPod set to do this, but since I updated, it has been long gone.

Sorry if this is an obvious answer.

I use iLocalis (on Cydia)... I keep track of mine and other iPhone locations.

It twitters for me, and does everything the old quasi-lojack hacks did!

it is 'donation-ware' for 5+ euros a year!

it's pretty cool, and the developer keeps up-to-date (2.2 took a few days)

PS I used the quasi-lojack trick for quite a while!
