Will I mess up the headphone jack plug if I keep taking my headphones in & out? This has happened to my plug for the computer. After many times connecting & disconnecting my headphones, it got all f***** up. Sometimes there would be now sound on one side of the headphones. I'm guess this will happen to the Touch as well if I keep doing it. Am I wrong?

its more likely to damage your headphones if theyre really crappy.

other than that I wouldnt worry.

Don't worry, your headphone jack won't be ruined by regularly inserting and removing the headphones.

However, if do do it roughly, jamming it in, it could cause some damage.

I think my nightmare has come true. 50% of the time, I can't get any sound. I've switch off between 2 headphones. I have to keep plugging/unplugging to get it to work. I'm going to test it out for a few more days before I can be sure.

    i think it a warranty-case.
if the jack is damaged, it has to be a material-failure and apple will replace, repair it...

It would be repaired under warranty. Do you think the warranty voids if you get it engraved?

i think if apple engraved it then it wouldnt matter but if you engraved it or someone other than apple engraved it then it might cause appple to say something about it....
