) and i followed the instructions it told me 2 do and voila now were up to my problem

the way i did it was (well wat they told me 2 do)
    1. open up winpwn and select browser .ipsw
    2. select the ipsw firmware (2.0 ipod touch firmware)
    3. click ipsw. builder thingy and ya did that
    4. hook ipod to computer
    5. wen itunes recogines ipod touch go to winpwn and click ipwner
    6. wen it says your itunes is pwned make ipod touch go to forced DFU mode
    7. wen i itunes recoginzes ipod touch is in DFU mode hit shift-click restore
    8. voila your done

    iPod touch
iTunes recognized my iPod as an iPhone back when I had legit 1.1.4 software on my touch. So, it's just weird. Upgrading to 2.0 fixed it.
