I'm finally getting an iPhone 4 tomorrow, and I was wondering would it be better to use one of the mainstream jailbreaks such as limera1n or greenp0ison or use pwnage tool?

I have been using pwnage tool for my 3G and a 3GS too, both have worked really well. I have just restored my 3G to a custom firmware of 4.1.

Are there any differences to the way they both jailbreak? Or do they both rely on the same exploits? I know that you can use pwnage tool to preserve baseband (which is why i've used it so far) but with my iPhone 4 unlocking i wont be concerned with that.

There are endless threads about "limera1n vs greenp0ison", none I can see that involve pwnagetool.

Well I my self jailbroke with pwnage tool. The only big difference is that it preserves your baseband and it makes a prejailbroken custom firmware in which you have to restore with. The exploits are practically the same tho. But I say jailbreak with pwnage tool because every one is saying "Jailbreak with greenpois0n" Jailbreak with limera1n" but no one ever says jailbreak with pwnage tool (mainly because not that many people have macs or access to a Mac). And if you want to preserve your baseband you can also use tinyumbrella.

You mean he has an iPhone 3G, 3GS and he's getting a 4G? Wow.
All I have is my old reliable iPhone 3G which I have almost had for a year.

No, the 4 is a replacement for my 3G, which I am giving to a friend and the 3GS is my girlfriends. Why would I need three phones? lol
