    Hi guys,

Is there any workaround yet to get Gmail pushed to your iPhone? Sorry if I am spamming the board, but my work uses Gmail and Talk with our buisness. Therefore, it is kind of useless to keep checking for mail every minute...

    Thanks,
    Pat

You can do it in settings then push but it only checks every 15 mins. But that's the only way I found to do it. I'm on a 2g touch btw. Hope that helps.

Get a free YahooMail account, set up a filter in GoogleMail to forward your new mail to your YahooMail account and to mark them as read. YahooMail works with Push at least on the 3GS, never worked on my IPT2G though.

My throw away ymail account is not supporting push on the 3GS... I tested 3 times. How did you set it up?

I did a clean restore, jb with redsnow and then configured my GoogleMail and YahooMail accounts on my iPhone. I did not change any of the preset settings and it works without a problem. The first mail I got with push took about three hours though, the following mails arrived almost instantly. It seems Yahoo and/or Apple needs some time to set it up.

I see what u mean now. I'm on a touch and my gmail set up fine. You can forward your emails with yahoo but that won't help. My touch had gmail settings already I just added the user and password and da da it worked. If your trying to forward your emails to your other account your gonna have issues. U can either try and find a pop3 or IMAP application(like outlook for pc) but best way if your work don't mind. Set up another mail account on ur pod and add your work account details. Then you can access them as you would with ur current account. I think I get what your trying to do and this should work. Mine did

Well, since I am not jailbroken (YET... bought it yesterday...) I should be unaffected by what you said. Now, my push worked once. And since has stopped working... Any ideas?
