My $300 ipod touch is now a paperweight thanks to a friend of mine who said it was perfectly safe to use to prep for a jailbroken 2.0.

WHAT I DID: downloaded 1.1.4 from apple, and uses winpwn to pwn it, adding two custom images for kicks. It finnishes pwning, says it's rebooting, and no life in it since.

I want to kill him. Help?

I can't restore, nothing happens when ANY buttons are pressed or held, or when anything is plugged in.

Make sure it's off, then hold the home button and plug in while you're holding and CONTINUE to hold. iTunes will recognize it.

    Also try this...

Hold the home and the power button for 15 seconds and then press the home button and it should turn on. Hold the home and powr button again until it shuts off and then exactly two seconds later let go of the power button and hold the home button for 30 seconds and you can now restore.
