Hey guys,I'm planning on buying a laptop.I've never had a laptop and I think I defiantly need one.

I'm looking for one because you know with the family wanting the pc and being on one chair all day seems boring and sad.I want to have freedom and movement.

I don't want something uber powerful like an alienware laptop.I want something thats looks nice and isn't outdated. Preferably an i3 or i5 processor.

My budget it around the £450 mark, but i'l be willing to add another £100 if its worth it.
I want to brows the internet, play music, write docs/homework,download,use YouTube,a bit of Photoshop and maybe a bit of gaming. You know just casual stuff.

Now I have seen some that looks pretty good, but I want you expert opinions.

The first one on my mind is the dell Inspiron 15 Intel Core i.

    Comes with a Intel® Core™ i5-430M
    Windows® 7 Home Premium
    15.6" High Definition (1366x768) WLED
    Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD
    3072MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM
250GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
    £459

It seems pretty good to me,but the video card looks like a problem.

Now I could go for a dell studio 15, essentially the same thing
    but better deign.
    Comes with a intel® Core™ i3-330M
    Windows® 7 Home Premium
    15.6" High Definition (1366x768) WLED
512MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 4570
    2048MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM
250GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
    £479

So which is better?I want something that can handle a bit of modern warfare 2.

Sorry for the long thread,And what about a 13inch macbook for about £750?I hope you can help give me any other alternatives, thanks

I would try to find one with 4gb of RAM if you can but other than that they both look good. I have a 13 in early 2009 macbook aluminum unibody (not the pro, I got it before they added that to the 13 in title) and I'm really satisfied with it. If you can I would go with the mac but otherwise both are good choices.

I just checked on the site and It says I can upgrade the Dell Inspiron 15 to a premium package.

    This will add,
    • 4096MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
    • 320GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
    • 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4330
    For an extra £140
This adds up to £599,is that a good deal?
