If you were wondering whether or not you should get a 3000 or not, you shouldn't wonder anymore.

The guys at PSPGen (a French site) have enabled homebrew (via HEN) on the PSP-3000 using the GripShift Exploit found about two weeks ago.

What is HEN? Well, guys like me who have been around the PSP scene for about the past 2-3 years know of it as the thing that basically freed our PSPs from Sony's wrath in what seems to be eons ago. HEN allows the PSP to run homebrew for a short period of time. After a reboot, you have to repatch. Therefore, the work is not done yet. They still want to find another exploit to make this permanent.

HEN is easily patched so the guys at PSPGen have refused to give out the files. If they did, Sony could patch over this really easily and their work would be wasted. So no release right now, but just be patient.

EDIT THAT: To quote Dark_AleX himself –

This is about how I trusted someone called “miriam” and I gave him a kernel exploit of C+D, which was found by joek (the ONLY ONE that deserves credit of that), just to play for HIMSELF, as it is being used to decrypt 3k modules, but the first thing he did was to show to others to get a bit of fame.

Now i realize not to trust anyone anymore, thanks.

So let me break it on down, and correct me if I’m wrong…

The discovered kernel mode exploit used in conjunction with the recent GripShift vulnerability was the work of “joek.” Said exploit was given to Miriam for personal/educational purposes, which was then later shared, from Miriam to other persons, who now claim it as their own. And thus, here we are today, stuck in user-mode land while completely HEN-less.

MIRIAM DESERVES NO CREDIT, JUST HATE
    PSPGEN DESERVES NO CREDIT
THE ONLY ONE WHO DESERVES IT IS JOEK

Yeah I just read that after I posted it. It's pretty sad.

Nevertheless, the PSP community is a community. As long as he apologizes, it's fine. Life will go on. The good thing that comes out of this is that we know the PSP-3000 is almost hacked.

No. It has not. It has never been hacked.
Pandora Batteries work on 1000 and 2000 series.

Gripshift is a game for PSP btw lmao. It has nothing to do with exploiting the PSP-3000. And the rest of what you said is also just bull. A+C exploit xD, very creative genius.

But one thing he said that's true is, give Dark-_-Alex credit, and don't take in all of the credit yourself.
