PSOD on ipod touch 2G

    How do i fix a PSOD on my ipod touch?

    First of all, it's a SWOD (Spinning Wheel of Death).

    Hold Power and Home for 10 Sec or until it turns off (don't use Slider if it appears). Wait three sec, then turn it back on.

    when i turn it back on its still a pink background with a diagram of the "connect to itunes"

    and its turning back on automatically
    it quickly flashes the apple symbol and goes back to the SWOD

    Have you tried a DFU restore?

    yes heeps of times
    ------------------double post merged------------------
    but it wont go into DFU mode when i do it it just automatically goes back to the SWOD

    Disconnect it, go thru to the DFU stage, make Sure the screen is Off. Delete the following file on your computer;

    xNUMBERS_HERE_Recovery.ipsw from the iTunes folder where it keeps "iPod Software Updates

    Connect Device, Restore.

    there is no folder called ipod software updates in my itunes folder just mobile applications, album artwork, previous itunes libraries and itunes music but there is damaged and different itunes libraries in that folder too and Temp files

    No not that folder, it is most likely in your C:/ Drive on Windows. Do a Search for "_Recovery.ipsw" and delete it. On Mac, its in Library > iTunes.

    Is the screen pink/purple or has it got a spinning wheel. I think you might be mistaken cocotuch
