Is it possible to play PS2 backups without a modchip? I've seen it done, but I'd rather not but a modchip since PS2s are allready outdated. (maybee a really cheap modchip?) I've done some research and found a slide tool method and some method called "cogswap". Does anyone know of a better cogswap/activator disc tutorial? Is there another method I'm unaware of? Thanks, I know it's a lot of questions =]

i use the slide tool and it works really well
just make sure you order the right version (dvd or cd) of the swap magic disc
no modification is required (just take the cover of the cd slot off)
i also heard of one that plugs into the memory card port
search around (it was on gizmodo or engadget or lifehacker)

Whats better than backups is having the games installed on a HD in the PS2...

    HD Loader.

    Google it.
