I want to proxy through an SSH server I have set up at my house, but if I proxy the connection regularly [through wifi settings] it will try to connect to the SSH tunnel THROUGH it, and it will end up not working. Is there any way to only proxy Safari [or some other app] so that it won't disrupt the SSH connection?

Well, kind of. I have an SSH server set up, and with a browser on a computer I can set up my browser to proxy through the SSH tunnel. If I try to set up the proxy with the wifi settings, it will disconnect the tunnel, and it will try to connect through it even though it doesn't exist anymore. The only way to get that to work is to be able to proxy only the browser [or another app] and not the whole connection.
