So I recently updated to 4.0.1. When I go to make a call, the screen disables like normal. but if I want to go to speaker or end the call, the screen does not light back up. I never had this problem with 3.1.3. Is this a software issue? Is anyone else having this problem with their 3Gs?

Make sure you're not covering the part above the earpiece.

I know where it is. I take it away from my face with my hand on the bottom and back of device, and it simply does not light back up. I have to press the sleep button several times before I get some sort of response. This happens on every call.

There have been known problems about this on iOS 4 but its the oposite. So I'm thinking same goes for this. Apple will fix this with a future update
