The proximity sensor seems really fail on the iPhone 4. I talk the way I did on my iPhone 3G (face touching screen) and now on the iPhone 4 it presses random buttons. I've put people on speaker accidentally, muted myself accidentally, and pressed keys accidentally. Is there a fix for this?

Your face doesn't need to be touching your iPhone.

Wow, how can your face touch your face? You should smoke less xDD

And yes in 4.1 this issue should be fixed.

That's how I talk on my phones though, put my mic as close to my mouth as I can. I don't like angling it away since it seems awkward, like trying to shove an iPhone up my ear.

I don't have that issue - but then again, the phone is not touching my face while I'm talking on it

Apple has stated that they are aware of some proximity sensor issues, and they are working on a fix which is set to be included in 4.1.
