Now I don't know about you guys but I intend to keep my $490 CDN 8g iPod touch with warranty to myself. I don't plan on giving it away for free anytime soon, unless I win the lottery even then it would go to a family member. All I'm asking for is a few tips that you guys think would be smart to use in order to keeping your touch for only you to touch. Here are a few of mine.

    1. Don't take it out of your pocket in public places *stations, malls, etc
    2. Change the headphones *everyone knows them (robber won't be interested if he sees some "unkown" headphones.
    3. Don't show off too much and word might get around for example: high school, university, or middle school (you must b spoiled.)
    4. Try not to lend it to anyone.
    5. Keep a password on it (optional)
    6. Get some dangerous friends that will protect you (optional)
    7. Higher a security guard (optional)

**You never know what can happen, people are desperate, stupid and impulsive. So add some of your own on here, after all we are a community!

Just keep it in your pockets. If using mine in public I keep it zipped up in my jacket pocket or in my jeans pocket.

Oh... I don't leave it in my pocket..
I kinda have a fear of sitting on it or snapping it.
    I just leave it out.
So bascially all the kids can see it.
    I should rethink that.

No I don't live in the hood lol. I live in Toronto, Canada. Try New York or Brooklyn as the "hood". All I'm saying is that not everybody is nice these days. You should listen to the news man. A year, or two(can't remeber) ago 1 or two people were killed for their iPod video like wow. Imagine your touch even elderly will try robbing it . One time I was on the train with a few of ma friends and there were about 12 boys (15-17yrs old) on the train and they robbed some chinese kid from some school. He gave it up without a fuss cuz the train is moving wtf *can he do.

That's not much of a concern for most of us americans because aside from a couple select places the public transportation system here in the USA SUCKS!
