PROTECT YOURSELF FROM MALICIOUS CODE EXECUTION THROUGH THE JAILBREAKME EXPLOIT

With "jailbreakme" jailbreak being released, a major exploit in the safari PDF viewer has been exposed and is gaining major publicity across the internet - with an exploit in the limelight many people out their across the WWW will now try and run malicious code through the same exploit we used to jailbreak. The chances of it happening are slim but enough to warrant protecting yourself to some extent.

Thankfully - a method of protecting yourself has been found already by twitter user Will Strafach, he has developed a tool that notifies (warns) when a website is trying to load a PDF - if its malicious you can simply say no, or if the source is trusted you can let it load up - simple choice, a lot more protection for you.

Grab it on Cydia: PDF Loading Warner

Not at all - Apple has its killswitch and Cydia apps are generally pulled if they are malicious. The only reason we have to worry about this is because code can be run without any notice through any website on the internet, so while your sitting on your coach browsing through the net - you could be attacked through the exploit. This is why the exploit will be patched by Apple in the next update.

However - its easy to protect yourself from the exploit.

Yes, and that's the point - now its so well known, people will inevitably begin to use it for the dark side of the internet

Im not saying to worry about it - but rather protect yourself from it. If your unlucky to encounter malicious code execution on the internet - at least you have a method of stopping it right?
