Pros/cons/risks/rewards of jailbreaking iPods

    Also is there anywhere I can like subscribe to get the update of the 2nd gen jailbreak
    Also which development team/group do you gys think will win the proverbial race to JB?
    Also does a JB'd iPod respond normally to routers and iTunes and stuff that works flawlessly with in-JB'd iPod touches

    Pros: Themes, emulators, other apps not in AppStore
    Cons: If you have too many themes, iPod can get sluggish
    Risks: None.
    Rewards: Everything

    its kinda similar to moving from xp to linux
    you can get more free apps created by people who dont get signed by apple(emulators,FLASH)

    jailbreaking also opens the opportunity to fully utilize the blue tooth chip

    Themes are awesome imo...
    Also, as long as you don't have too many background processes, the battery issue and slowdown isn't too bad.
    And I haven't had to restore since I got my iPod back from my brother (how I hate him...)

    You forgot:

    Risks: Voids Apple Warranty

    But you can restore to original firmware before you let any apple techs get their hands on it

    Well there was that one thread just now about the warranty...
    But yeah. Restoring always fixes it. And if it's really messed up, well I doubt Apple will be able to find out that it's jailbroken without fixing it first
