Ok so like everyone else on this forum, I do not necessarily want every app that i close running in the background and I find it very annoying that i have to double home, hold icon, hit minus just to close it.

What I want is that if i'm in an app and I press home it closes. If i hold home it will background (like how backgrounder did it).

Is there a way I can do this? Like a jailbreak tweak? If not, I just wanted to throw out an idea to some talented dev. =D

Ya you can use proswitcher (free) or multifl0w (paid for(I think)). They both use backgrounder and do what you want it to. But please note that I do not know if they work on 4.0 or not.

Well Remove Recents in the bigboss repo gets rid of all the apps in the app switcher that aren't actually backgrounded. That cleans it up a lot.

Then once Backgrounder was updated for 4.0, I went in and turned off backgrounding for most of the default apps.
