i was wondering if anyone knew the maximum clock speed i can run my dual core intel-E2140 processors, without the need for extra stuff to reduce my heat levels(unless i can just make my stock fan run faster) it is preset to 1.6 ghz btw, even a guess would be nice!

    thanks in advance

Get a better fan if you're overclocking.

I'm just guessing, but you could probably bring that up to at least 2.0ghz.

I overclocked a 2.93ghz to 4.2ghz. It wouldnt go past the bios because it used so much wattage. =D It went to like f***ing 250F at the bios im like HOLY F**K Then held my reset button. My room became very hot after that.

It's probably a cooling issue. Stock coolers don't really work that well as far as overclocking goes.

no it wasnt that, i let my computer completely cool down, turned it on, changed the clock speed, and it needed a reboot for the effect(or at the point where i hit save it crashed), after that reboot it didnt work and i had to unplug it and so on, so it wasnt heat, at least not yet.. lol
