So I jailbroke my brother's ipod touch using the cyw00d tool. After a few days, he wanted winterboard so I cydia'd it and it rebooted.

Now, it can't boot. I've tried touchpwn as well as 1clickboot and neither will boot it. The ipod touch screen goes white and then black, but the malfunctioning message still appears on the taskbar in windows.

I restored with a clean ipsw and the ipod touch works, and I rejailbroke it. It works jailbroken, but when I turned it off I couldn't boot using the tools again.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

You have to put it into DFU mode before trying to boot it.

Yes, I did that. Well I just tried the voltage boot tool and it says "Could not proceed past 2.2.1 iBoot". Maybe that means something?

Eh, nevermind. Somehow I just kept running the boot tool and it worked. Problem solved.
