ipod was working fine jailbroken 2.0
    then ssh stopped working
so i figured updating to 2.0.1 might fix that
using pwnagetool i made an ipsw, tried to update in itunes, got an error (5 maybe?)
now ipod's in dfu mode (it was previously in recovery mode)
is there any way for me to update my firmware without restoring now
    or
any way to get back to my previous firmware (i.e. just get out of dfu?)
    thanks

Try holding Sleep+Home for a few seconds. You'll hear the eject sound from the computer. Just press the sleep button again & it should boot. Have had to do that like 4 times tonight attempting the 2.0.2 jailbreak =\.

nope -- that's not changing anything
holding sleep+home turns it off, sleep turns it back on, it briefly shows apple logo then recovery picture

I don't think you have any choice but to restore if that's not working =\. Hopefully i'm wrong & someone else might have a way to get out of it.

    Sorry i couldn't help more
