So i had a 1.1.1 jailbroken ipod touch. tried to upgrade to 1.1.2 (inorder to upgrade to jailbroken 1.1.3) by using oktoprep. For some reason, it didn't work out, and i got the spinning wheel problem. i tried to restore to 1.1.1, but now i still have the same spinning wheel problem. when my ipod is at the home screen, it seems normal for a sec, then a spinning wheel comes up, the home screen refreshes, and the same thing happens again.

how do i fix this??? I've tried to go to 1.1.3 through itunes, and tehn downgrade to 1.1.1, but this spinning wheel sh*t keeps happening!! Did this occur becuase i didn't get rid of my 3rd party apps when i did oktoprep?

Yea just restore then downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak by jailbreakme.com, install oktoprep, shift-upgrade to 1.1.2 then jailbreak 1.1.2 then jailbreak 1.1.3

Try a force restore and restore to 1.1.3, then downgrade (many methods some should be stickied). Then jailbreak via jailbreakme.com, install oktoprep. SHIFT-UPGRADE to 1.1.2 then jailbreak 1.1.2 by the touchfree process.

That should work because restore clears everything even though you said you did it that way.

W8 u installed oktoprep to get to 1.1.3. Oktoprep is used to upgrade to 1.1.2 jailbreak from 1.1.1. You had to hit the 1.1.3 jailbreak category. I dont know wat do no then.

nah, i installed oktoprep while on 1.1.1, to get to 1.1.2! then, from 1.1.2, i read that there were various simple ways to get to 1.1.3 jailbroken.

the problem is....when i got to 1.1.2, i got the spinning wheel thing, and have only been able to get rid of it when i restore to 1.1.3 (not jailbroken).

whenever i restore to 1.1.1, i get the spinning wheel...

this is really annoying me. is there any way i can just start from 100% scratch?!?! i am on a mac btw so i cant use iphuc to downgrade from 1.1.3 (the only firmware that works on my ipod...)
