Problems during restoring iPod

    Hi everyone

    my iPod was bricked, but I got it to DFU mode

    For me process stopped when I restored custom firmaware, and now if I want to
    put original firmware.. it don't works.

    It say "Preparing iPod for restore.." then iPod Turns off

    iRecovery -s say no devices but iPod is in DFU

    Can anyone send me by PM Boot Helper? Maybe it will fix

    Boot helper doesn't fix this, sadly. Boot helper is just what you have to run if you restart your iPod after you jailbreak (aka the tethered part).

    But what i can tell you, is that you need to do iRecovery -f and send the file that you extract from the IPSW of the other firmware (2.1)

    Forgotted to say when it bricked my iPod, the custom restore was finished and I did something wrong

    Now It showed the iTunes logo with USB, I restore to original now.. hope it will works

    Please PM me if you get it working, my computer keeps saying malfunction and crap, I hope its not bricked, even though everyone says its hard to do...

    An iPod can not even be bricked!
    Just switch it to DFU mode

    But before may sure you killed all iTunes/iPod related process.

    Then Hold Power Button and Home button during 10 seconds, then at the 11seconds remove your finger from power button and wait for Windows USB sound.

    If it still don't work just try on another PC, and if it don't still works then send it to Apple .

    Jusy say you tried to install restore and it failed.. :=)
