problems after jailbreaking

    after i jailbroke my ipod (version 1.1.2 now) installer has taken way longer than it has to refresh sources and alot of my apps are slow and my battery dies very quickly.
    would restoring fix this>?

    Im having the same problem, half way through refreshing sources it jus crashes.

    For your first problem, I'd try deleting some of your sources.

    For your second, I'd check to see if SSH was on (it really kills battery life).

    What do you need SSH for? If I were to turn it off, would I still be able to go on safari etc?

    ... I know you need it to connect to your iPod through your router...

    Third party applications and Wi-Fi can really drain the battery.
    For your sources, have you added any other ones than the default it comes with?
    More sources = more time it takes to refresh.
