Restore backup will put a backup on your ipod possibly loosing your jailbreak so you might need to do it all over again.

Keep trying to get it into DFU mode. Then if you finally do get it into DFU mode just run the Boot.bat file. I dont think you are in need of rejailbreaking it.

You may need to try more than a few times to put it in DFU mode. Also if you load up Boot.bat then run the DFU guide where it shows a countdown, dont use it. Listen for the computer beeps cuz the boot.bat is off by a couple seconds from my computer and it might be with yours also.

The reason it went black is because your ipod can't boot up into the restore mode it needs to (due to the jailbroken firmware) hold home + power (with ipod plugged in) for 20 secs... now release power and keep holding home for 10 secs...

now that you're in dfu mode... properly... just restore to your old firmware
