Okay kids, a shot in the dark but maybe someone has an idea what I might try.

64gb, 3G IPT. Hooked to car stereo thru USB port using an interface cable. Everything WAS working fine. Not now.

The stereo recognizes the ipod because the display goes from saying "NO USB DEVICE" to "iPOD" when I plug in the ipod. However, instead of beginning to play, as it USED to do, now it says either "NO SONG" or "DEVICE ERROR."

The only thing I know of that has changed from when it did work was I downloaded and app called Dictionary.com.

    Advice and suggestions are appreciated.

If it has a case/pouch take it out and try again, if problem persists check your manufacturers manual

Being the minimalist type, I have no case.

Have consulted the stereo manual. According to that, the "no song" error means there are no songs on the ipod. That definitely is not the case. The "device error" message indicates the ipod is not compatible with the stereo, which makes no sense because it was working.

    Thanks for your input.
