I had iTunes 9.0 installed on my laptop. Today I uninstalled it and tried installing iTunes 8.2 but in vain. The installer just wont work. It is the same installer which i used to install 8.2 on my desktop pc (desktop is still on 8.2).
What might be wrong? Is it some kind of restriction applied by Apple?

Read his post again and please stop spamming with half baked replies.

To the OP. Try re-downloading iTunes 8.2 from here. You may have a corrupt installer. Also you may need to restart yoru computer in between uninstalling 9.0 and installing 8.2.

Sadly there is a problem in all of your plans. I may be mistaken and if I am please for the love of god enlighten me but, Even if you try to downgrade you won't be able to open iTunes because it will say that the library is of a newer version. But it you don't mind losing your playlist etc. then I suppose you would delete everything that pertains to apple?
