I haven't been on here for a while. God, it feels like ages and I know that the ipod touch fans forum can help me.

My brother has the new ipod touch and it's running 3.1.2, the latest firmware.

I am trying to jailbreak it with blackra1n. It does so, but when it is turned off it goes to the 'connect to itunes' with the respective logo.

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what's the fix?

    Ta for now.

That's because it is a tethered jailbreak. Each time you boot it up you must run Blackrain.

So everytime that I run the ipod, it must be connected to the computer?

Wish I knew before hand lol. This has to be the most pointless jailbreak ever. Why release it when it's tethered?

Back in the good ol' days we didn't have this problem...

Well lets see, the other option was... Not release it and noone has a jailbreak. Besides it's only tethered for the MC 3g models.

I'm pretty damn happy with it, I never turn my iPod off all the way so I love it. Sorry you aren't pleased with it...but your opinion makes it a far from useless JB.

It's not pointless, it is super easy to do, and since it's tethered, it's not that bad. Would you rather have none? And you should have known it before hand if you even searched...

    oooooh no guys
he is all messed up in confusion, he actually thinks tethered meants he has to have the ipod conected every time he uses the ipod

my friend tehtered means that you have to rejailbreak with blackra1n every time the ipod FULLY TURNS OFF or RESTARTS

When I think about it, It's not *that* bad.. But still, If this "re-raining" can be avoided.. then it'd be alot better for all of us.

But the way we have it right now, It's not all that bad, Just hope that the battery doesn't die on ya otherwise you'll be hauling your ass right back to your PC, with the iPod touch in tow. lol
