    Hey friends,

Something weird started to happen when I did a firmware upgrade to 2.2.

When I try to upgrade an app that was previously installed on my iPod, iTunes give me the following error:
    Unknown error (0xE800002E)

But, new apps that was not previously installed are accepeted with no problem. I mean, they are succesfully installed.

If I remove (uninstall) an app that I want to upgrade, an then install its new version, the instalation proceeds. But when I do that, I loose all that app's data. Thats bad.

Anyone else is getting this? Please try to do and come back here with the results.

ps: sorry for my eventually bad english, it's not my native language.

you can backup your game data in itunes when the device syncs. after backing up, you can delete the app on the device and sync to install the app on itunes properly. iTunes should restore the data. Alternatively, you can navigate to the folder of the app, ~/Applications and backup the saved data yourself by copying it to your desktop e.g.
