I recently upgraded to 1.1.3, and realized that I wanted jailbreak back. So I restored down to 1.1.1, fine, jailbreakme.com, installed OkToPrep, ok, updated to 1.1.2, great, used jailbreak.jar, reported no errors, and when it came to "rebooting device", the iPod just showed it in recovery mode (the iTunes logo with the connector pointing to the logo) and wouldn't reboot. The JAR reported that it was done and the iPod would reboot several times, but I left it for 20 minutes at one point and it didn't even flash the icon to reboot. It would be stuck in recovery mode until I restored it in iTunes. Some notes: This was done in 7.6, 7.5, AND 7.4.2, starting from scratch in each version, all yielding the same results. ALSO: iTunes AND iTunes Helper processes were closed. Should iTunes Helper remain active? (I'm doing this on an intel Mac, btw) I'm assuming 7.6 and/or 1.1.3 totally destroys firmware updates and thus renders jailbreak to 1.1.2 impossible?
