    Hey Guys,

I just got iTunes 8 installed and currently have 2.0.2 running on my iPod touch 16gb.

I tried to download the latest 2.1 update via iTunes and I keep getting this message:

"There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod __________ . The requested resource was not found".

    Anyone else getting this?

    Any ideas?

got it too for my iphone. so basically you are screwed if you have to restore your ipod or iphone.
and officialy it is only out on friday, so don't expect too much today.

just go to the other thread and manually download the firmware, then just restore with 2.1 to get the new firmware.

I would just download that firmware you linked to, but I want to update, and not restore because I don't want to lose my app settings.

    Any ideas guys?

EDIT: Ah, whatever, I'll just do it anyways.

when you finish downloading the firmware
in iTunes you press shift + click update, and select the fw to update, no restore necessary
